Information

PermittHy is coordinated by the Centre for Fuel Cell & Hydrogen Research, School of Chemical Engineering, University of Birmingham. 10 project partners are working on training European specialists involved in the permitting processes of hydrogen projects. We are building a Best Practice Handbook and will be rolling out training courses across 25 EU Member and 4 Associated States, overall in 18 languages. The courses will be delivered in hybrid mode, i.e. an online training part that leads to a certificate of participation, and two additional 2-day in-person trainings that are planned to award two different, recognised qualifications.

The courses will be open to all staff involved on both sides of the permitting process, the engineers writing the applications, just as well as public officers evaluating them. Practical sessions on hydrogen safety will be be available as an additional option.

The project closely works with the European Hydrogen Academy (HyAcademy.eu), as well as the Interreg NWE project Green SKHy.
