Hydrogen for mobility and residential applications: safety and permitting approaches around Europe
Information
The implementation of hydrogen technologies is facing many practical barriers. Approaches to permitting and safety for installation and operation of both commercial and pre-commercial technologies vary considerably around Europe with local rules and regulations imposing different procedures despite the similarity of plants. HYPOP Project is engaging institutional stakeholders, from fire fighters to public authorities and certification bodies, who play a pivotal role in the hydrogen technology installation, to understand how to support the overcoming of these barriers through sharing of successful installation experience from around Europe. The workshop will explore European best practices and technical procedures with institutional stakeholders, hydrogen technology producers, integrators and adopters, starting a dialogue that will feed into a guidance to support smoother implementation of hydrogen installations. Project HYPOP (G.A. nr 101111933 ) - HYdrogen Public Opinion and accePtance, is funded by Clean Hydrogen Partnership and European Union and aims to raise hydrogen public opinion and acceptance.
